Custom GoPro mouth mount was a success today. More field testing is needed along with a couple design tweaks, then I will play with ideas of actually producing these for some money.

cherokeekala asked: I guess this isn't a question but being a welder myself, your welds turn me on.

Hahahaha well thank you! I take that as a very nice complement!

Our materials stockpile needed some organization so I came up with this . The bottom shelves roll out for easier access to the much larger pieces.

I machined some new mounts for my Sony HDR-AS15 Action Camera. the suction cup was roughly $5 off Amazon and the black mount screwed into the bottom of the camera is an actual GoPro tripod mount. I took a piece of 1/4-20 all thread and glued it into the tripod mount and machined a knurled jam nut of sorts to tighten the camera down. All of the items I machined are fully interchangable with the GoPro line so nothing special needed.

Messing around with some Silicon Bronze filler, a scrap piece of stainless and the sandblaster. WatchThePrettyLight I believe has been using that rod for a while now. The results are bitchin!

Welding brass by way of Silicon Bronze filler rod. TIG of course. Pretty rough welding due to the small amount of Zinc but doable. Polishes up the same color too.
